Who are the Explorers and what is the Aviation Post 310

Exploring is part of the Learning for Life career education program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) or 15 through 20 years old.

Exploring's purpose is to provide experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.  Explorers are ready to investigate the meaning of interdependence in their personal relationships and communities. The Lehigh Valley Flying Club and EAA Chapter 70 and are the sponsors of Aviation Post 310.

Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities.  Local community organizations, like LVFC and EAA 70, initiate an Explorer post by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community.

The result is a program of activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop. Here are Top Ten Reasons to Join Aviation Post 310.

We are always looking for volunteers!

You can volunteer by taking an explorer for an orientation flight or invite them to your job to learn about careers in aviation.  There are other ways to help just ask other Explorer Leaders.  Many Youth Leaders and/or Adult Participants tell us it is not demanding and it is a very rewarding experience to see your mentoring contribute to the youth of today in finding a meaningingful career in aviation.  Sean can email you the List of Youth Participants and Adult Participants for Explorers of Aviation Post 310.  Also feel free to take them flying!
