Understanding Basic Med

By now, many of you have heard of the 3rd Class Medical reform known as BasicMed. Whether this is new news or old news, see the links below to help get you on your way.

Going through the process has been made very easy by AOPA. Their "Fit-To-Fly Pilot Resources" page is full of all the content you need to satisfy the requirements.

I recently utilized the AOPA content to easily obtain my BasicMed certification. The site includes a very well laid out, easy to follow, "BasicMed Course", FAQ's, information for your doctor, and Comprehensive Checklist (FAA form 8700-2). The BasicMed course is quick, straightforward, and meets the FAA Self Assessment course completion requirement.

So, what are you waiting for? Whether you're an active pilot, or just returning to flying (see our upcoming "Rusty Pilot" program on our "Events" page), utilize the links below to see if you qualify and follow the easy process to BasicMed certification.
